For telephone and email orders, we raise an invoice, which is sent to you for confirmation, before processing.

Until we receive your confirmation, your card is not charged.

For online orders, our website calculates the total value of your order before you submit your order .

For models out of stock, we only require:

50% deposit

25% with the model completed at 75%.

Ready Made Models in Silver, Gold, Platinum and Custom Range

These ship models are Hand-Made from scratch using 'Plank-on-Frame Craftsmanship'.

These ship models are 'Hand-Crafted, Complete' and requires NO re-construction. The only exceptions are some model boats in our silver range, where the model boats are flat packed.

All ship models are made from teak wood or fiber glass, dependent upon which models are ordered, and client requirements.

The ship models are made from the original ship plans, and we use the services of

'various Maritime Museums' as the source of the Ship Plans.

Model ship kits and Radio Control (R/C) Boats

In response to on-going customer request, we now offer model boat kits and r/c model boats.

Premier Ship Models Company Information

Premier Ship Models trades both through the internet and at shows.

The company started trading in 2000, with the first web site launched in 2001. This makes us one of the longest running specialist ship model company, and is evidenced by the amount of customer references.

We are based in the UK, and a registered limited company (registration number 4208528). Additionally we are VAT registered (registration number is 01305396).

We are also members of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and the British Marine Federation (BMF).

We now have over 350 ship models on our web site. Please click here to request a price list of all our model ships. Our price list is broken down by price, quality range, type, length and name of ship models.

Prices

All prices are quoted in UK Pound Sterling, US Dollars and Euros. Please refer to our home page for the rates used for translation.

Please note, all prices excludes V.A.T, packing and delivery.

VAT treatment

The rate for VAT is 20%. The simple set of rules below outlines when VAT is chargeable on our prices.

EEC countries

Sale to EEC customers

If the customer is VAT registered, then there is no Vat. This will usually apply to companies, rather than private individuals.

If the customer is not VAT registered, then we have to charge VAT @ 20 % on our prices.

Sale to customers outside the EEC

Customers outside the EEC do not pay VAT.

UK customers

UK customers are charged VAT @ 20% on our prices. Companies can usually claim back this VAT if it is a business expense.

Packing and delivery

There are no packing and delivery charges if you choose to collect your order. Otherwise, the charge is based on the size of the model and the country of destination.

Size of Model Ships

The majority of model ships on offer comes in different sizes (please click on the size box). Please note sizes are listed in both cms and inches. Do not click on both as the site will calculate the larger sizes twice. Similarly we offer sails rolled up or opened (not applicable on all model ships).

Delivery

Please note delivery is advised at the time of order. If the ship model is in stock, delivery would be within a week, otherwise between 4 to 24 weeks depending on the range of the model.

Custom model ships

We offer our clients a 'Complete Service' for 'Hand-Crafted Custom Bespoke Ship Models' to showcase their prestigious boats and yachts in their surrounding lifestyles.

The custom model page on our site represents a small example of our portfolio and craftsmanship for 'Hand-Crafted Custom Bespoke Ship Models'.

It's simply meant to provide an overview of our 'In-House' production team capabilities on their 'wide range of skills, knowledge, craftsmanship and experience'.

Guidelines on how to order a 'Hand-Crafted Custom Bespoke Ship Model' are as follows:

1. Client provides picture(s) of their boats or yachts, together with the size of model required. Digital pictures are ideal.

2. A quote will be submitted to clients, together with size and options on their model yachts.

3. The quote is agreed with the client. We will then request as many pictures as possible, along with plans or technical drawings.

If pictures or plans are not available, we will undertake the research at a cost.

4. The lead times for producing custom model boats can be up to 16 weeks.

5. We prepare a Client Specification Document (CSD) for both parties to sign off. This outlines the scope of the work, and provides peace of mind to our clients.

6. The client's model boats are produced and delivered. Pictures are provided during the construction of the model at the client request, together with final professional pictures.
