As a result of client requests, we also supply a number of different display cases and cabinets for your model ships. These keep the ship models free from dust, and ensures their longetivity. Other reasons for acquiring display cases are to protect your model ships from accidents and keep the model boats out of reach.
We have listed some indicative prices and sizes for the display cabinets for your information. Each display case is made to your specific requirements.
Packing and delivery cost are calculated upon order of the display case.

 We offer a handmade
quality model display case, glazed in acrylic with framework in
Tulipwood or MDF to your own dimensions, for you to stain – paint –
or finish as you require.
The choice of colors
for the base suede are, Light blue - Royal Blue - Bottle Green -
Scarlet - Black. Or it can be left in plain mdf should you wish
to finish the base yourself for a diorama or rail track etc.
The model display cases are flat pack (which helps to keep down the cost
of p&p) and they easily assemble to form a sturdy structure.
Pricing for MDF
Add the Internal Length + Height + Width in inches and multiply the total by 2.7.
Example : 40 +20 +27 inches = 87 inches x 2.7= £ 234.90
Pricing for Tulipwood
Add the Internal Length + Height + Width in inches and multiply the total by 3.3.
Example : 40 +20 + 27 inches = 87 inches x 3.3= £ 287.10. The above prices excludes Packing, Delivery & VAT where applicable.
Delivery
Delivery is 2-6 weeks upon confirmation of order, packaged &
dispatch by courier via City Link in the UK & UPS
internationally.
      A classic style custom build flat pack display case in a variety of
natural hardwood produced by a master craftsman with an
eye for detail, beauty, stability and durability.
The display cases are eminently suitable for both historical tall ship models as well as modern yachts. Protects model ships from dust and accidental damage and enhances its display. Available in 4 mm acrylic / perspex or unglazed for those who prefer glass to be purchased locally for safe low cost shipping overseas. A lockable access door on one side is available for larger cases as an optional extra.
Type of Wood available:
Light American Oak or Sapele (mahogany).
Display Case Finish:
A sanding sealer
is applied, rubbed down to a very smooth finish, clear Briwax wax is applied
and buffed to a light sheen. The end result being the natural
grain and colour of the wood is retained.
Several colours of Felt (Royal Blue, Dark Green, Black & Burgundy) can be applied to the base for an additional cost.

Display Case 3 - Ready Made with Perspex. (ADC)

 Details:
The base has a hardwood trim available in Mahogany, Black Ash, and Light Oak. The top and bottom of the display base are covered in a quality baize, the top baize is in the coulour of your choice, whereas the bottom is covered in green non-slip baize. The clear display case top is removable and just lifts off the base in one piece. Please note all sizes are internal sizes.

Green, Black & Blue can be applied to the base for an additional cost.

Display Case 3.1 - Flat Pack Aluminium Frame Acrylic . (ADC)

 The display case will be made to your selected sizes.
The above
display case is made from 4mm thick acrylic and consists of 5 pieces of
4mm acrylic held together with an aluminium frame.
These are a lot
stronger than the standard 5mm thick acrylic display cases, which
enables them to be made to the larger sizes. The pictures are for illustration only, so may seem out of proportion to your sizes. Please note all sizes are internal sizes.
Green, Black, Red & Blue can be applied to the base for an additional cost.

Display Case 4 - Ready Made with Acrylic. ( MH)

   To complement more modern
décor, you may prefer to combine the durable contemporary look of optical grade
acrylic with the time honoured warmth of wood.
The clear display cover is
made of optical grade acrylic which is UV stabilized and will not craze or
yellow in sunlight and will protect the display case contents from fading.
The thickness of the
acrylic sheet is determined by the size of the case.
The base frame is produced
in solid oak, ash, mahogany, yew or pine and hand polished. The interior can be
covered in top quality jeweller's suede, veneered to match the solid wood base
frame or have a mirror to reflect the underside of the contents.
Our acrylic wall cases can
be produced to any size, using the same quality acrylic. The back of the case
may be in oak, ash or mahogany. The acrylic shelves are ‘T' slotted into the
back making them removable. The front cover can either be lift-off or for further
security be fastened by unobtrusive brass screws. Display Case 5 - Flat Pack with Glass. ( MH)
Picture As seen below these cases can have internal lighting     This glass shows construction without corner pillar. A typical self-assembly case for
display whether for railway or
maritime
This type of construction allows for easy cleaning and for those who
require an uninterrupted view of the contents can be constructed without corner
pillars.
These showcases are supplied flat packed, ready for easy assembly (no
tools required) - you simply slot the glass panels into the top and bottom
frames to produce a rigid structure, the top panel being removable for access.
This method of construction
allows easy replacement should you unfortunately break a glass panel, something
that would be difficult with a conventionally constructed case.
Being flat packed enables
us to deliver these cases worldwide without the transport handling problems and
breakages associated with fully assembled glass cases.
The interior of the base
can be in quality jeweller's suede with a choice of colours (see quotation
form), samples are available on request, or in matching timber. There is
also the option of having a mirrored back or base should you wish to view the
reverse or underside of the contents.
Self-assembly cases can be
made to virtually any size and glazed in standard float glass, laminated safety
glass or UV filter acrylic to prevent fading of exhibit.
Display Case 6 - Custom Made Commercial cabinets. (MH)

a number made for Fred Olsen Cruise Liners.
It has an end opening lockable
door, suede base and can be made with or without shelving. Ideal for displaying
valuable model ships on a wall.

Display Case 7 - Ready Made with Glass. (DSC)

   Specification :
A beautiful display case made of glass which are dust proof
and ideal for ship and boat models. Manufactured to your exact
requirements, the display cases are
built to protect your pride and joy.
The wooden trim around the glass is stained to match
the base of the display case.
The
moulding around the base is Rosewood. The base of each display case is lined with Suede
(Cream, Light Green, Dark Green, Navy Blue, Royal Blue, Silver Grey, Ash Grey,
Red &
A mirror backing is also available at an additional cost.

Laminated Glass Pricing:

Display Case 8 - Ready Made with Toughened Glass. (SC)

     Our top of the range display cabinet for your favourite model ship. This is made of solid wood timber.
Custom Display Case made to order, the types of wood on offer are: oak, mahogany, maple, ash, beech & walnut.
Felt Colours: red (burgundy) light blue, dark blue, black and cream.
All cabinets are finished to their natural colour, or a colour of your choice.
Available with or
without a base felt cover with a choice of colours. As an additional
option, these cabinets are also available with mirrored backs with additional cost.
The glass used are 4mm toughened glass for the Display Case. Indicative sizes and prices
Prices for this display cabinet starts at £650 onwards. The pictures above are of a base which is 94 cms / 37 inches in length, 70 cms / 27 inches high and 55 cms / 21 inches wide.

The display cabinet is made in glass and therefore can only be hand delivered. Additionally the cabinet can be flat packed without the glass for overseas customers.
